* ARMY GATE Schofield Barracks’ Foote Gate is closed Dec. 1-10 for construction, so motorists are advised to use all other gates. Call 656-3157.
* GARDEN DOINGS Wahiawa Botanical Garden has a “green hour” for families at 2:30 p.m. each Wednesday through Dec. 10, giving folks an outdoor break from TV, computers and video games. Located at 1396 California Ave., it also offers self-directed botanical drawing and painting classes at 12:30 p.m. each Wednesday through Dec. 10. Call 621-5463.
* BLOOD DRIVES Hawaii Blood Bank has donor drives from 6:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Dec. 6, 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 14 and 6:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Dec. 20, all at Mililani Town Center; and 7 a.m. to noon Dec. 19 in the Waialua High School gym. Call 845-9966.

* CRAFT FAIR Wahiawa Ryusenji Soto Mission has its 20th annual craft fair from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 6 at 164 California Ave., with sushi, pickled vegetables, baked goods and entertainment by Hawaii Matsuri Taiko, Na Papa Hulu O Noelani and the Kaala Japanese Language School. Call 522-1429.
* BANDSTAND The U.S. Navy Dixieland Band is tentatively booked to play at 4 p.m. Dec. 7 at Waialua Bandstand. Call 637-4520.
* BASEBALL CLINIC West Oahu Baseball and Elite Sports Academy’s baseball clinic from 2 to 6 p.m. Dec. 10 at Central Oahu Regional Park has several major league players (including Shane Victorino). Fee is $55. Call 262-4538.
* HALEIWA PARADE Haleiwa Christmas Parade starts at 6 p.m. Dec. 12 at Weed Circle and moves through town to Haleiwa Beach Park. Children can meet Santa before and after the march at North Shore Marketplace under the monkeypod tree. Call 637-4558.

* MILILANI CRAFTS Mililani’s Save the Best for Last Craft & Gift Fair runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 20 at Mililani Uka Elementary School and Kuahelani Park. Call 499-5566.
* WAHIAWA TOUR Wahiawa Community and Business Association has a free bus tour of Wahiawa at 10 a.m. Dec. 20 at Center Street, featuring the history and agricultural heritage of the town. For updates and reservations, call WCBA at 621-6531.
* SOCCER CLINIC Aloha Soccer Camp conducts a Coerver Skills clinic Dec. 26-28 at Mililani District Park. Fee is $75 on or before Dec. 15. Call 623-9487.

* SURF CULTURE The North Shore Surf and Cultural Museum is open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. every day but Tuesday in the North Shore Marketplace with displays of vintage boards, posters and more. Donation is requested. Call 637-8888.
* ESCRIMA Patrick Delos Santos offers Kali Escrima classes in Filipino self-defense (stick fighting) at 6:30 p.m. Wednesdays and 9:30 a.m. Saturdays at Mililani Waena Elementary School. Fee is $50 per month. Call 398-0119.
* LA LECHE La Leche League of Central Oahu meets at 6 p.m. on the third Tuesday of each month in the large meeting room at Schofield Barracks. All breast-feeding and expectant mothers are welcome. Call 772-0438.
