* HABITAT MEETING Honolulu Habitat for Humanity meets with residents at 6:30 p.m. March 4 at Wahiawa United Methodist Church, offering families who own or lease property a way to renovate or rebuild their own homes. Call 538-7070.
* BOE MEETS The state Board of Education meets March 5 at Mililani Mauka Elementary School; business is at 3:30 p.m. and public testimony at 7 p.m. Call 586-3332.
* RECYCLING Mililani High’s Project Grad collects HI-5 containers from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and Leilehua’s Project Grad collects them from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., both on March 7.
* BREAKFAST Mililani Lions Club serves its benefit breakfast from 6 to 11 a.m. March 8 at Mililani High cafeteria. Tickets cost $6 for eggs, sausage, rice, muffin, pineapple, coffee and cold drinks. The club also accepts used eyeglasses and canned goods. Call 225-0175.
* MEDITATION “Mindfulness Meditation” is offered from 7:30 to 9 p.m. March 13 at Mililani Hongwanji, 95-257 Kaloapau St. Call 625-1022.
* ARTS FESTIVAL ENTRIES Haleiwa Arts Festival seeks visual artists for its juried exhibit and sale July 18-19 at Haleiwa Beach Park. Deadline is March 14, and original and limited-edition works of fine art in all media get priority. Fees apply. Go to http://www.haleiwaartsfestival org.
* MULES LUAU Leilehua Project Grad has a benefit luau from 5 to 10 p.m. March 14 in the cafeteria with live music, great food, hula, a country store and silent auction. Admission is $25 at the door. Call 554-7179.
* STAR PARTY The Hawaiian Astronomical Society has a “star party” at sunset March 14 at Dillingham Airfield (956-3131).
* BLOOD DRIVES Hawaii Blood Bank has donor drives from 6:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. March 7 and 21 at Mililani Town Center, and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 9 at Mililani High. (845-9966.
* DOG DOINGS Hawaii Dog Foundation invites prospective owners to meet adoptable dogs from noon to 2 p.m. March 14 and 21 at Mililani Mauka Dog Park. Call 782-8387.
