* DANCE Mililani’s Hawaii Ballroom Dance Association begins spring classes at 7 p.m. April 7 at Mililani Mauka Elementary School cafeteria. Instructors lead separate sessions in cha cha, foxtrot and salsa. Fee is $8 per dance per person,and yearly HBDA dues are $10. Bring a partner. Call 292-7470.

* OHA GRANTS The Office of Hawaiian Affairs conducts a grants workshop for nonprofits at noon April 8 in Haleiwa. Call 594-1925.

* EASTER SERVICE Olive United Methodist Church holds a Maundy Thursday Service with foot washing and communion at 7 p.m. April 9; Good Friday Cantata at 7 p.m. April 10, and a worship at 10 a.m. April 12. Call 622-1717.


 

* WAHIAWA MUSIC Higher Ground Cafe has live entertainment on various nights at 70 Kukui St., with Jazz Night, Open Mic and more.Steve Lucas,Nando Suan and the boys play at 7:30 p.m. April 9, Saloon Pilots at 7:30 p.m.April 10, and Mike Love at 7:30 p.m. April 11. Call 622-0000.

* MEDITATION Mililani Hongwanji has Mindfulness Meditation at 7:30 p.m. April 10 at 95-257 Kaloapau St. Call 625-1022.

* BLOOD DRIVES Hawaii Blood Bank conducts donor drives from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 11 at Alii Beach Medical Group, 66-214 Haleiwa Road; 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 12 at Mililani Town Center; 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 17 at Oceanic Cable, 200 Akamainui St.; and 6:30 to 1:30 p.m. April 18 and May 2 at Mililani Town Center. * EASTER BREAKFASTWahiawa Christian Church hosts an omelette station breakfast from 7 to 9 a.m. April 12, followed by Transformation of the Cross at 10:30, worship at 10:45, egg hunt at noon and lunch at 12:30. The breakfast costs $4 for adults and $2 for children. Members of the 325th BSB Battalion 3rd Brigade eat free. Call 542-3619.

* BOTANICALS Wahiawa Botanical Garden has classes in ti leaf lei making at 1 p.m. April 14 (fee $5); drip irrigation at 9 a.m. April 24 (free); and head lei making using the wili method at 1 p.m. April 28 ($15). Call 621-5463.

* MUSUBI MAN Honolulu Theatre for Youth presents Musubi Man at 3 p.m. April 15 at Mililani Library. Call 627-7470.

* GOLF Mililani Project Grad hosts a golf tourney April 17 at Mililani Golf Course. Fee is $125 per golfer. Call 623-3817.

* FOOD DRIVE Mililani Town Center hosts a drive for Hawaii Foodbank from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 18. Canned meats are especially appreciated. Call 954-7870.

* BLOOMING HIKE David Orr leads a walk on “What’s Blooming/What’s Bearing Fruit” in Waimea Valley at 2 p.m. April 19, and every first and third Sunday; park admission is charged. Call 638-7766.

* FOOTBALL SIGNUPS Wahiawa Youth Sports League registers players age 9 to 13 for its Tackle Football Program from 4 to 6 p.m.April 26 at Wahiawa District Park. Fee is $275.
