* BIBLE SCHOOL Mililani Presbyterian Church has free Vacation Bible School from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. June 29-July 3, including dinner, at 95-410 Kuahelani Ave. Keiki ages 3 through grade 6 are welcome. Theme is"Crocodile Dock - Where Fearless Kids Shine God’s Light.” Call 623-6663.

* MEET MAZIE U.S. Rep. Mazie Hirono meets with constituents about their concerns at 6 p.m. July 1 at Waialua Community Association, 66-434 Kamehameha Hwy. Call 541-1986

* GOLF TOURNEYLeilehua High Band’s third annual golf tournament starts at 12:30 p.m. July 1 at Leilehua Golf Course. Call 224-4080.

* LIBRARY CLOSURES Most public libraries are closed July 3-5 in observance of the Independence Day weekend.

* INDEPENDENCE DAY Schofield Barracks marks its 100th anniversary along with Independence Day from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. July 4 on post with music, food, fun runs, games,a midway,greased-pole contest and crafts. The rock band Kansas plays at 5:30 p.m., and fireworks are at 8:30 for military and the public. Call 655-111.

* BLOOD DRIVES Hawaii Blood Bank has donor drives from 6:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. July 4, 18 and Aug. 1 at Mililani Town Center and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 20 at Wahiawa General Hospital. Call 845-9966.

* BANDSTAND Waialua Bandstand hosts the Royal Hawaiian Band at 4 p.m. July 5, sponsored by North Shore Realty. Call 637-4520.

* SCHOOL SUPPLIESPrudential Locations employees accept school supplies July 6-10 at the Mililani office, 95-720 Lanikuhana Ave. #120, for its “Backpack to School” drive for needy children. Call Monica Salter at 265-0073.

* TAHITIAN FESTPolynesian Cultural Center hosts the ninth annual Te Mahana Hiroa O Tahiti at 7:45 p.m. July 10 and 9 a.m. July 11 in its Pacific Theater with children’s solo and group competitions. Admission is $10 and $6. Call 367-7060.

* STARGAZING Hawaiian Astronomical Society hosts a public “star party” at sunset July 11 at Dillingham Airfield. Call 551-1030.

* CHILDREN’S COUNCIL The Central District North Community Children’s Council meets at 6 p.m. July 15 at Leilehua Golf Course dining area. Parents of children with special needs are welcome. Call 655-4777.

* WIENERMOBILE The Oscar Mayer Wienermobile visits Mililani Foodland from from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. July 15 and Tamura’s in Wahiawa from 2 to 6 p.m. July 18 on its Hawaii promotional tour.

* BUBBLES Wahiawa Library presents the Aloha Clowns Bubble Show at noon July 17. Call 622-6345.

* STORIES Auntie Pam Goodman-Kilmer is guest storyteller (one the theme “pizza”) at 10 a.m. July 18 at Waialua Library, followed by arts and crafts as part of the library’s summer reading finale. Call 637-8286.

* NEIGHBORS Wahiawa Neighborhood Board meets at 7 p.m. July 20 at Wahiawa District Park, Mililani Mauka-Launani Valley meets at 7 p.m. July 21 at Mililani Mauka Elementary School, Mililani-Waipio-Melemanu meets at 7:30 p.m. July 22 at Mililani Rec Center III and North Shore meets at 6:30 p.m. July 28 at Haleiwa Alii Beach Park. * PLANT DOCTOR The Plant Doctor is in - from 9 to 10 a.m. July 24 at Wahiawa Botanical Garden - to answer questions and give tips on ailing plants. Call Brian Koren at 621-5463.

* GOALIE CLINIC Bob Barry conducts a Goalkeeper Clinic from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 1-2 at Kealohi Field in Mililani for ages 8 and older. Fee is $130. Call 236-4515.

*WAIMEA HIKES Waimea Valley has hikes at 9 a.m. most Saturdays.Fee is $5 or $10 plus park admission. A “leisurely stroll"among blooming plants and fruits is offered with no additional fee on the first and third Sunday with botanical collections specialist David Orr. Call 638-7766.

* STORIES Wahiawa Library has a preschool storytime at 10:30 a.m. Wednesdays. Call 622-6345.

* SURF CULTURE North Shore Surf and Cultural Museum is open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily but Tuesday at North Shore Marketplace, offering displays of vintage boards, posters and much more. Call 637-8888.
