* STREAM CLEANUP Rainbow Watersports Adventures leads its fifth Anahulu Stream cleanup at 7:30 a.m. Sept. 18. Meet at Haleiwa Beach Park and bring stand up paddle boards, canoes or kayaks, if available. Call 372-9304.

* MOVIE NIGHT Waialua Community Association hosts a movie night at 7 p.m. Sept. 18 featuring WALL*E at 66-434 Kamehameha Hwy. Admission is free, and popcorn and drinks are 50 cents each. Call 637-4606.

* IRRIGATION Wahiawa Botanical Garden has a free class in Irrigation Basics, with emphasis on drip irrigation, at 9 a.m. Sept. 18. Call 621-5463.

* PLANT SALE Friends of Honolulu Botanical Gardens has a fall plant sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 19 at Wahiawa Botanical Garden with a large choice of rare and unusual plants, an educational display and an “urban farm environment” with rabbits, chickens and vermiculture. Call 537-1708.

* STAR PARTY Hawaiian Astronomical Society hosts a public Star Party at sundown Sept. 19 at Dillingham Airfield, bringing telescopes and special facts to share about the stars. Call 737-4742.

* WAIALUA PARADE Waialua High’s homecoming parade from 4 to 6 p.m. Sept. 25 sends 500 marchers, 15 vehicles, six floats and the band from campus to Haleiwa to Waialua District Park and back. Call 637-8200.

* DOG ADOPTIONS Hawaii Dog Foundation hosts a “meet and greet” from noon to 2 p.m. Sept. 25 at Mililani Mauka Dog Park so families can meet its adoptable dogs. Call 782-8387.

* BAND CONCERT Leilehua High presents its Fall Pops Concert at 7 p.m. Sept. 26 in gym. Donations welcome. Call 627-5057.

* NIGHT WALK Waimea Valley has a walking tour at 6:30 p.m.Sept.26 with Lopaka Kapanui sharing folklore and legends. Fee is $50 for adults, $40 kamaaina and military, and $35 for children ages 12 to 16. Call 638-7766.

* BANDSTAND MUSIC The U.S. Marine Corps Pacific Jazz Band performs at 4 p.m. Oct. 4 at Waialua Bandstand, sponsored by Malama Market Haleiwa. Call 637-4520.

* KAENA POINT HEARING City planners hold a hearing at 10:30 a.m. Oct. 5 at Waialua District Park on permits needed for a 2,133-foot predator fence and gate structures at Kaena Point. Call Elizabeth Krueger at 768-8019.

* SAT TEST PREP SAT Test-Prep Hawaii has test preparation classes from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Oct. 5-9 at Mililani High School. Call 261-6666.
