* CHORAL FEST The annual Mililani Complex Choral Music Festival opens at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 23 in Mililani High School gym, featuring choral groups from area public schools.
* NEIGHBORS The Wahiawa-Whitmore Village Neighborhood Board meets at 7 p.m. Feb. 22 at Wahiawa District Park (agenda: algae farm at Poamoho, water line on Rose Street), the North Shore board meets at 7 p.m. Feb. 23 at Haleiwa Alii Beach Park (Phycal Hawaii algae farm in Poamoho) and MililaniWaipio-Melemanu meets at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 24 (public forum on UH West Oahu, wastewater facilities). * ART AUCTION Sunset Beach Elementary School PTCA has an art auction from 6 to 10 p.m. Feb. 26 at Waimea Valley with raffles and auctions of photos, paintings, ceramics, jewelry, surfboards and more. Cover charge is $10 at the door and includes music, food and cash bar. Proceeds benefit the school’s art and music programs. To donate or for details, call 638-8777.
* MEETING DOGS Hawaii Dog Foundation hosts a “meet and greet” session with its adoptable dogs from noon to 2 p.m. Feb. 27 at Mililani Mauka Dog Park, 95-1069 Ukuwai St. Call 782-8387.
* ILIAHI FAIR Iliahi Elementary School has its Ohana Day fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Feb. 27 with food, games, crafts, entertainment, inflatables and a raffle. Call 223-9922.
* KANOELANI FAIR Kanoelani Elementary School’s Healthy Kids Day is from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Feb. 27 in Waipio, featuring booths, exhibits, demonstrations and food on a health theme. Call 675-1095.
* LION DANCE Mililani Shopping Center celebrates the Lunar New Year at 11 a.m.Feb. 27 with a traditional lion dance by the Chinese Lion Dance Association and martial arts demonstrations in the courtyard (next to First Hawaiian Bank). Call 737-4676, ext. 24.
* ART WALK The monthly Haleiwa Art Walk runs from 6 to 9 p.m. Feb. 27, offering activities and exhibits throughout the town. Call 637-4558.

* WAIALUA COMMENTS Public comment is due by March 9 on a permit for two more homes to be built at Au Kai Hale Makai, a beachfront, apartment-zoned parcel at 68-180D Au St. in Waialua. Call city planners at 768-8032.
* GARDEN TRAINING A teacher certification training course in Square Foot Gardening is set for March 11-13 at Turtle Bay Resort, led by Mel Bartholomew, SFG founder.
