* KAHUKU BOOKS Friends of Kahuku Library have a book sale from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 29, noon to 7:30 p.m.March 30 and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 31 at the library at Kahuku High School campus. Call 293-8935.

* HONO HONO Wahiawa Botanical Garden has a free class on “The Secrets of Growing Hono Hono Orchids"at 9:30 a.m. April 1. Call 621-5463.

* BLOOD DRIVES Hawaii Blood Bank has donor drives from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. April 1 at Leilehua High School and 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. April 3 at Mililani Town Center. Call 845-9966.

* EGG HUNT Mililani Town Center has a free Easter egg hunt from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 3 with prizes, candy treats, crafts, games and a Royal Hawaiian Band concert at noon. Call 625-5233.

* BANDSTAND Na Leo Nahenahe O Na Kupuna Hula Halau entertains at 4 p.m. April 4 (tentative) at Waialua Bandstand. Call 638-5695.

* POLO Hawaii Polo Club has matches at 2 p.m. Sundays on Mokuleia Field with entertainment by Just Us on April 4. Gates open at noon, and admission is $8 and $5.

* MAD HATTER Haleiwa Farmers Market hosts an Easter celebration and Mad Hatter Tea Party from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 4 at Kamehameha Highway and Bypass Road. Rex and Surf Dog will attend as well as storybook characters. A petting zoo, croquet and races are planned. Call 388-9696.

* PHOTO SHOW The Friends of Waialua Library sponsorFocus on Photography, an exhibit by local talent, now through April 6 at the library. Call 637-8286.

* SOLAR TALK RevoluSun presents free solar education seminars at 6:30 p.m. April 8 and 27 in the Pikake Pavilion at Waimea Valley. Call 748-8888.

* MEDITATE “Mindfulness Meditation” is offered from 7:30 to 9 p.m. April 9 at Mililani Hongwanji, 95-257 Kaloapau St.It’s a guided,silent and walking meditation based on Thich Nhat Hanh. Call 625-1022.

* ART SHOW Wyland Galleries presents North Shore artist Heather Brown in a one-night show/reception for the public from 6 to 11 p.m. April 10 at its North Shore Marketplace shop. The event is in conjunction with the Women’s Pipeline Pro. Brown did the contest poster, and she will sign copies of it at the reception. Call 637-8729.

* ART WALK The monthly Haleiwa Art Walk runs from 6 to 9 p.m. April 24, offering activities and exhibits throughout the town. Call 637-4558.

* REFEREE Oahu Pop Warner Association seeks a referee. For details, go to http://www.oahupopwarner.com.

* KEIKI TALES Wahiawa Library has preschool story-time at 10:30 a.m.Wednesdays for keiki ages 3 to 5, accompanied by an adult. The free hour offers stories,sing-alongs and crafts. Call 622-6345.

* INLINE HOCKEY Oahu In-Line Hockey League season is under way each Saturday through May 8, including inter-league games with Mililani In-Line Hockey Association teams. Call 372-9270.

* FARM TOURS Bus tours of North Shore farms are offered on Wednesdays and Fridays by E Noa Tours, cosponsored by Haleiwa Farmers Market.Call 591-2561 and ask for Tour No. 17.

* HULA Kumu hula Ali’i Manu has non-competitive hula classes (auana,kahiko and the aloha spirit) at 7 p.m. Tuesdays at Mililani Uka Elementary School. Men and women ages 15 and up are welcome. Call 478-2400.

* MEETING DOGS Hawaii Dog Foundation hosts a “meet and greet” session with its adoptable dogs from noon to 2 p.m. on the first and third Saturday of the month at Mililani Mauka Dog Park, 95-1069 Ukuwai St. Call 782-8387.

* WAIMEA WALKS Waimea Valley offers a variety of hikes for visitors every Saturday and Sunday, plus themed walks, crafts, music, games or storytelling every weekday, and much more. Night walks with Lopaka Kapanui are scheduled every other month through Nov. 6, 2010. Call 638-7766 or go to http://www.waimeavalley.net.

* WAIMEA ELDERS Waimea Valley has a “Cherish the Elders"program, inviting kupuna to spend the day learning and enjoying the park. Fee is $5 and no minimum group size is required. Call 638-7766.

* ART IN THE PARK Interested artists meet from noon to 2:30 p.m. each Wednesday,March 17-May 26, for self-directed drawing and painting at Wahiawa Botanical Garden. Call 621-5463.

* GREEN HOUR Families are invited to Green Hour at 2:30 p.m. each Wednesday (March 17-May 26) for a fun-filled, outdoor program that provides a break from TV and electronic amusements at Wahiawa Botanical Garden. Call 621-5463.

*WAIALUA MARKET The Waialua Farmers Co-op Market sells local produce, plants and more from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Saturday at Waialua Sugar Mill. Call 637-4439.

* MILILANI MARKET Mililani High School hosts a Farmers Market from 8 to 11 a.m. Sundays in the gym parking lot. Call 848-2074.
