* PARADE ENTRIES The Wahiawa Pineapple Festival Parade seeks entry applications now and will award trophies to the best marching units in the May 8 event.Setup begins at 8 a.m. at Kaala Elementary School, and the march starts at 9, leading into the festival at Wahiawa District Park. * PLAZA OPENING The Plaza at Mililani stages its grand opening at 11 a.m.April 20 with tours, talks and a blessing of the new senior living facility at 95-1050 Ukuwai St. Call 626-8807.

* LIBRARY CLOSURE All public libraries are closed April 21, for furlough day.
* BEACH CLEANUP Schofield Barracks, Save the Sea Turtles and Adopt a Beach sponsor Earth Day Beach Clean Up Day at 10 a.m. April 21 at Haleiwa Alii Beach Park. Everyone is welcome. Call 637-2211.
* HEALTH TALKS The Elder Care Series at ORI Anuenue Hale has free talks and exercise classes for seniors from 1 to 3 p.m. on various dates in April and May. Topics include Bone Spurs April 22, Acid Reflux April 29 and Carpal Tunnel Syndrome May 6. Call 622-3929.
* POLO Hawaii Polo Club hosts an exhibition match and barbecue dinner April 25 and plans a Mother’s Day Brunch May 9. Polo matches begin at 2 p.m. each Sunday at Mokuleia Polo Field. Gates open at noon, and admission is $8.Call 226-0061.
