* NEIGHBORS North Shore Neighborhood Board meets at 7 p.m. May 25 and June 22 at John Kalili Surf Center, Mililani-WaipioMelemanu meets at 7:30 p.m. May 26 and June 23 at Mililani Rec Center III, Mililani Mauka-Launani Valley meets at 7 p.m. June 15 at Mililani Mauka Elementary School cafeteria, and Wahiawa meets at 7 p.m. June 21 at Wahiawa District Park. * BLOOD DRIVES Hawaii Blood Bank has donor drives from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 26 at Monsanto Hawaii (94-520 Kunia Road), 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 28 at Wahiawa General Hospital and 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 31 at Mililani Town Center. Call 845-9966.

* HEALTH TALK The Elder Care Series at ORI Anuenue Hale concludes with a free lecture for seniors on stress fractures from 1 to 3 p.m. May 27. Call 622-3929.


* MEGA GARAGE SALE About 15 homes in Mililani Mauka plan to have their 13th annual “multi-home mega garage sale” from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 29 on Hookaau, Ahikao, Kanae and Hookanahe streets. Call 626-4073.

* DANCE PARTY The Rick Shea Band with special guest Ledward Kaapana perform in a dance party/concert at 8 p.m. May 29 at Waimea Valley’s Pikake Pavilion. Tickets cost $25 and are on sale at Surf n Sea in Haleiwa (637-9887) or at http://www.brownpapertickets.com.

* ART WALK The monthly Haleiwa Art Walk runs from 6 to 9 p.m. May 29 with activities and exhibits throughout the town. Call 637-4558.

* POLO AND DINNER Hawaii Polo Club invites the public to “Moonlight Polo and Dinner"at 5 p.m. May 29, starting with the polo match, followed by an Argentine asado-style dinner at 6:30 with live music, dancing and bar at Mokuleia Polo Field. Non-members pay $40. Call 637-7669.

* LIBRARY CLOSURES All public libraries close May 29-31 for the Memorial Day holidays.

* POAMOHO HIKE Hawaiian Trail & Mountain Club leads a 6-mile, intermediate hike to the Poamoho summit at 8 a.m. May 30. Reservations are required at http://www.htmclub.org.

* GOLF SIGNUPS Deadline is May 31 to sign up for Hawaii United Okinawa Association’s second Ikuyu Madin Golf Tournament, set for June 24 at Ewa Beach Golf Club. Proceeds support HUOA’s plans to develop income-producing property in Waipio Gentry. Call 832-0822.

* BANDSTAND Na Lei Nani O Waialua Hula Halau entertains at 4 p.m. June 6 at Waialua Bandstand. Call 638-5695.

* WOOD CARVING An orientation for free traditional wood carving, hale and stone wall construction classes is set for noon to 3 p.m. June 6 at Waimea Valley’s Proud Peacock Room. Classes with kahu Butch Helemano begin June 13, sponsored by nonprofit Ka ‘Aha Hui Na’auao. Call 292-4292.

* COLLECTION DRIVE The Mililani Hawaii Self Storage (223 Akaimainui St.) welcomes donations for Ho’omalu O Na Kamali’i, a children’s receiving home on the Leeward Coast. Items needed are new clothing, blankets, towels, sports equipment, shoes, slippers, toys, school supplies, backpacks and arts and crafts. Call 521-9531, ext. 224.

* FARM TOURS Bus tours of North Shore farms are offered on Wednesdays and Fridays by E Noa Tours, cosponsored by Haleiwa Farmers’ Market. Call 591-2561 and ask for Tour #17.

* HULA Kumu hula Ali’i Manu conducts non-competitive hula classes (auana, kahiko and the aloha spirit) for the public at 7 p.m. Tuesdays at Mililani Uka Elementary School. Dancers age 15 and up are welcome. Call 478-2400.


* MEETING DOGS Hawaii Dog Foundation hosts a “meet and greet” session with its adoptable dogs from noon to 2 p.m. on the first and third Saturday of the month at Mililani Mauka Dog Park, 95-1069 Ukuwai St. Call 782-8387.

* WAIMEA ELDERS Waimea Valley has a new “Cherish the Elders"program, which invites kupuna to spend the day learning and enjoying the park. Fee is $5 and no minimum group size is required. Call 638-7766.

* MILILANI MARKET Mililani High School hosts a Farmers Market from 8 to 11 a.m. Sundays in the gym parking lot. Call 848-2074.
