Below are some highlights of what’s happening in the Central Oahu community for the next few weeks.

* BLOOD The Hawaii Blood Bank conducts donor drives from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Feb. 3 and Feb. 17 and March 3, and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Feb. 19 at Mililani Town Center. Call 845-9966.

* Wahiawa Ryusenji Soto Mission offers its annual cherry blossom trolley tours at 9 and 11 a.m. Feb. 3. Fee is $10. Following the tours at 12:45 p.m. is a Japanese show and bon dance. For reservations, call 306-1876.

* BOARDS Area neighborhood boards meeting next month are Mililani Mauka-Launani Valley at 7 p.m. Feb. 20 at Mililani Mauka Elementary; Wahiawa at 7 p.m. Feb. 26 at Wahiawa District Park; North Shore at 7 p.m. Feb. 27 at Alii Beach Park; and MililaniWaipio-Melemanu at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 28 at Mililani Rec. * PSYCHICS Mililani Town Center hosts Psychic Fairs by Intuitive Entertainment from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 10 and 11. Call 239-2574.

* GOLF Turtle Bay Resort presents the Seoul Business Systems LPGA Open Feb. 12-17. For weekly passes or to volunteer at the tour-ney, call 792-9333.

* SCHOOL The city Department of Planning and Permitting holds a public hearing at 10:30 a.m. Feb. 13 at Pupukea Beach Park on the SMA use permit for building a new office building at Sunset Beach Elementary School. Call Ann Matsumura at 523-4077.

* AUTHOR Best-selling fantasy novelist Margaret Weis visits Mililani Library at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 12 (627-7470) and Wahiawa Library at 6 pm. Feb. 13 (622-6345).

* BOE The state Board of Education meets at 3:30 p.m. Feb. 15 at Mililani High School and again at 7 p.m. to hear public testimony. Call 586-3332.

* CONCERTS California’s Blue Turtle Seduction band plays at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 18 at Waimea Valley Audubon Center, with the local Saloon Pilots bluegrass band opening for them. Tickets are $25 to $12. They play again at 3 p.m. Feb. 19 at Camp Erdman at a barbecue and benefit concert for the YMCA. Tickets are $15 and $10. Call 262-9045.

* SAT PREP Leilehua High School hosts an SAT prep course from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sundays Feb. 18-April 29. Fee is $325 but tuition waivers are available. Call 737-8955.

* CHOLESTEROL Clinical Laboratories of Hawaii will provide free cholesterol screenings from 9 a.m. to noon Feb. 24 at the Mililani Town Center. Participants should fast about 10 to 12 hours prior to the screening.Visit clinicalLabs. com


* ART North Shore Artists Studio Tour - a team of six artists from Turtle Bay to Kaena Point - open their studios to the public from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each Tuesday. Call 637-8934 or log onto www.hawaiinorthshoreartists.com

* MOMS The Central Oahu Moms Club invites stay-at-home mothers and their children to join its activities. Call 218-8524.

* WAIMEA VALLEY The Waimea Valley Audubon Center offers afternoon guided walks on wildlife and plants each week. For details, call 638-9199.
