* LIBRARY CLASSES Harry Arakaki reveals healing properties of soursop fruit and shares samples of tea from the plant in his “Amazing Amazon Annona Muricate” talk at 6:30 p.m. July 27 at Kahuku Library. Call 293-8935.

* NEIGHBORS The North Shore Neighborhood Board meets at 7 p.m. July 27 at John Kalili Surf Center (on the agenda: better management of the Mokuleia portion of Kaena Point State Park); and the Mililani-WaipioMelemanu board meets at 7:30 p.m. July 28 at Mililani Rec Center III. Call 768-3710.

* POLO DINNER Hawaii Polo Club presents Moonlight Dinner and Polo featuring Paniolo Grille July 30 at Mokuleia Field. Cocktails and an exhibition match start at 5 p.m. with dinner at 7. Admission is $25 for members, $30 for the public. Go to hawaii-polo.org.

* JAZZ AT DOT’S Dot’s Restaurant presents kanikapila jazz from 7:30 to 11:30 p.m. July 30 with Steve Lucas and Friends. Bring your own instrument; no cover charge. Call 622-4115.

* BON DANCES Bon dances are in store at Haleiwa Jodo Mission at 8 p.m. July 30 and 31 at 66-279 A Haleiwa Road (637-4382) and at Waialua Hongwanji Buddhist Temple at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 7 at 67-313 Kealohanui St. (637-4395).

* CARNIVAL The Armed Services YMCA sponsors a military appreciation carnival from 6 p.m. to midnight July 30, noon to midnight July 31 and noon to 10 p.m. Aug. 1 at Central Oahu Regional Park. Call 473-3398.

* INLINE HOCKEY Mililani Inline Hockey Association registers players for its fall youth league from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 31 and Aug. 1 at Mililani Town Center near Times. Fee is $65 plus $30 national fee. Go to mililaniinlinehockey.com.

* ART WALK The monthly Haleiwa Art Walk runs from 6 to 9 p.m. July 31 in Haleiwa town, with sales, activities and events from dozens of merchants. Call 637-4558 or 637-3368.

* BEACH CLEANUP Several North Shore groups and businesses sponsor a monthly beach cleanup at 10 a.m. July 31, meeting at Chun’s Reef. Bring a hat, sun-screen and beach shoes. Volunteers also collect data on debris items. Call 637-2211.

* WAHIAWA HIKE The Hawaiian Trail & Mountain Club leads a 6-mile intermediate hike to the Wahiawa Hills at 7:30 a.m. Aug. 1. Go to htmclub.org.

* WAIALUA CONCERT Malama Market sponsors the August concert at Waialua Bandstand, starting at 4 p.m. Aug. 1 with Na Wahine O ka Hula Mai ka Pu’euwai Hula Halau. Call 638-8088 or 637-9721.

* ARMY OUTREACH Oahu Army Natural Resource Program welcomes volunteers for its service trips and environmental outreach projects. Call 656-1641.

* COLLECTION DRIVE Mililani’s Hawaii Self Storage (223 Akaimainui St.) welcomes donations for Ho’omalu O Na Kamali’i, a children’s receiving home on the Leeward Coast. Needed are new clothing, blankets, towels, sports equipment, shoes, slippers, toys, school supplies, backpacks and arts and crafts. Call 521-9531, ext. 224.

* WAIMEA WALKS Waimea Valley offers a variety of hikes for visitors every Saturday and Sunday, plus themed walks, crafts, music, games or storytelling every weekday, and much more. Call 638-7766.

* FARMERS CO-OP The Waialua Farmers Co-op Market has produce, plants and more from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Wednesdays and 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays at Waialua Sugar Mill. Call 637-4439.

* HULA Kumu hula Ali’i Manu teaches hula at 7 p.m. Tuesdays at Mililani Uka Elementary School. Men and women ages 15 and up are welcome. Call 478-2400.
