* LIBRARY ART The students of Mary Weite’s calligraphy and sumi-e classes at Wahiawa Community School for Adults display their work Oct. 25-Nov. 15 at Wahiawa Library. Call 621-5572.

* BLOOD DRIVES Hawaii Blood Bank has donor drives from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 26 at Mililani High, 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 27 at Leilehua High, and at Mililani Town Center from 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Oct. 30 and Nov. 6, and 7 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Oct. 31. Call 845-9966.

* NEIGHBORS North Shore Neighborhood Board meets at 7 p.m. Oct. 26 in John Kalili Surf Center, and Mililani-Waipio-Melemanu meets at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 27 in Mililani Rec Center 3.

* ACUPUNCTURE TALK Kaiser’s Waipio Clinic has a free Senior Summit talk at 10 a.m. Oct. 27 on how acupuncture may ease conditions affecting legs and hands. Call 432-2235.

* BASEBALL SIGNUPS COYBL registers players from 7 to 9 p.m. Oct. 27 and Nov. 3 in the Mililani Waena Elementary cafeteria for minor league play. Forms are online at mililanibaseball.org. New players should bring birth certificates. Call 551-9332.

* HOLIDAY CRAFTS Mililani’s Holiday Shopping Spree is from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 30 at Mililani Uka Elementary. Call 499-5566.

* WAHIAWA TREATS

Wahiawa Shopping Center and Town Center host a pet costume contest at 11 a.m. Oct. 30 and a keiki costume contest at noon followed by a magic show at 12:45 p.m. and Halloween activities, free balloons, a photo booth and more. Call 221-2774.

* SPOOKTACULAR

Mililani Town Center has a Halloween costume contest, pumpkin spinning for prizes and keiki games from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 30, and safe trick-or-treating from 3:30 to 5 p.m Oct. 31. Call 625-5233.

* HAUNTED LAGOON

Polynesian Cultural Center presents its annual Haunted Lagoon experience through Oct. 30 featuring canoe rides through a scary water world. Call 293-3333.

* BEACH CLEANUP Volunteers gather for a monthly beach cleanup at 10 a.m. Oct. 30 at Chun’s Reef. Call 637-2211.

* ART WALK Haleiwa Art Walk is from 6 to 9 p.m. Oct. 30 with sales, activities and events hosted by dozens of merchants. Call 637-4558.

* PUMPKIN TALES Waialua Library offers Pumpkin Tales at 10 a.m. Oct. 30. Call 637-8286. * BOTANICAL BOO Wahiawa Botanical Garden offers a “Spooky Forest” experience, including the Green Lady, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Oct. 31. Call Brian Koren at 621-5463.

* MARKET MARCH Haleiwa Farmers Market has a Halloween costume parade Oct. 31 for dogs (10 a.m.) and keiki (11 a.m.) during its weekly market. Call 388-9696.

* CLOSURES All public schools and libraries are closed for General Election Day Nov. 2.

* PLANTS Wahiawa Botanical Garden has a free class in basic plant propagation at 9 a.m. Nov. 5. Call Brian at 621-5463.


* ARBOR DAY Hawaiian Electric Co. observes Arbor Day Nov. 6 at 7 a.m. at Wahiawa Botanical Garden and 9 a.m. at Waimea Valley with trees and shrubs to give away while supplies last, along with advice from experts. Waimea Valley also has a plant sale. Call 543-4441.

* BANDSTAND Na Leo Nahenahe O Na Kupuna Hula Halau dances at 4 p.m. Nov. 7 at Waialua Bandstand, sponsored by VANS Triple Crown of Surfing. Call 637-9721.
