Below are some highlights of what’s happening in the Central Oahu community for the next few weeks.

* CHOIR The choir from Concordia University-Irvine performs a free concert at 7 p.m. March 8 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Wahiawa. Call 621-6033.

* SCHOOL SCC Kaala Elementary School Community Council is accepting nominations for parent and community representatives. Interested candidates should call principal Ted Fisher by March 9 at 622-6366.

* ORCHIDS The Kunia Orchid Society holds its spring show March 9-11 in the Kunia gym - the final year the show will be staged there. Hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.Admission is $2. Call 623-8585.


* BLOOD The Hawaii Blood Bank conducts donor drives from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 9 in the Leilehua High School library; from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. March 17 and April 7 at Mililani Town Center; 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. March 18 at Waikele Center (by Leonard’s Malassadas); and from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. March 30 at Wahiawa General Hospital. * ANTENNA Deadline for public comment is March 12 regarding the proposed Sprint antenna site for Central Oahu Regional Park. Call 732-8602 (designers) or 692-5454 (city parks).

* BOARDS Area neighborhood boards meeting this month (at 7 p.m.) are Wahiawa March 19 at Wahiawa District Park; Mililani Mauka-Launani Valley March 20 at Mililani Mauka Elementary; North Shore March 27 at Alii Beach Park; and Mililani-WaipioMelemanu at 7:30 p.m. March 28 at Mililani Rec Center III. * PSYCHICS Mililani Town Center hosts Psychic Fairs by Intuitive Entertainment from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 10 and 11. Call 239-2574.


* BUNNY Wahiawa Shopping Center sponsors “Easter Festival of Fun” from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 24 offering free photos with the Easter Bunny, train rides, egg hunts, games, a climbing wall, Keiki Kopter rides and an Easter basket drawing. Call 262-0687.

* MAKUA Two studies related to Makua Military Reservation are available to the public at Wahiawa and Pearl City libraries and two other branches. Public comment is due by April 3. Call 655-8729.

* CAMP The annual MDA summer program at Camp Erdman seeks volunteers to assist children from June 8 to 15. To apply, call 593-4454.

* STORIES Waialua Library presents a free storytime and activities for children at 10 a.m. Saturdays now through May. Call 637-8286.

* STORYTIME Wahiawa Library hosts a free preschool storytime at 10:30 a.m. Wednesdays through April 25. Call 622-6345.

* ART North Shore Artists Studio Tour - a team of six artists from Turtle Bay to Kaena Point - open their studios to the public from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each Tuesday. Call 637-8934 or log onto www.hawaiinorthshoreartists.com


* MOMS The Central Oahu Moms Club invites stay-at-home mothers and their children to join its activities. Call 218-8524.

* YOGA Jasmine Yoga offers daily yoga classes for all ages at the Weinberg Community Center in Waialua. Call 561-9639.

* WAIMEA VALLEY The Waimea Valley Audubon Center offers afternoon guided walks on wildlife and plants each week. For details, call 638-9199.
