* LIBRARY CLOSURES All area public libraries are closed Dec. 24-26, except for the Waialua branch,which will be open Dec. 24.

* EVE SERVICE Pastor Ron Valenciana conducts a non-denominational candlelight service at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 24 in the Kuilima Ballroom at Turtle Bay Resort, with songs by Miss Hawaii Jalee Fuselier. Call 293-6000.

* BLOOD DRIVES Hawaii Blood Bank has donor drives from 7 to 11:30 a.m. Dec. 26, 7 a.m. to noon Dec. 31 and 7 to 11:30 a.m. Jan. 2 at Mililani Town Center, next to Jeans Warehouse. Call 845-9966.

* GARDEN FUN Wahiawa Botanical Garden offers a free Storytime in the Garden for preschoolers at 9:30 a.m. Dec. 29. Also on Dec. 29 is a Green Hour for adults and children at 2 p.m. - a great break from indoor electronic amusements. Call Brian at 621-5463.

* KOOLAULOA PLAN Comments are taken until Jan. 15 on the proposed Koolauloa Sustainable Communities Plan, which includes expansion of Polynesian Cultural Center, BYU-Hawaii, Turtle Bay Resort and housing at Malaekahana. * WAIALUA ART Waialua Library has a student art exhibit on through the end of January, featuring artists from Sunset Beach,Waialua and St. Michael’s schools. Call 637-8286.

* PADDLE FITNESS Rainbow Watersports offers Stand Up Paddle Fitness classes at 8 a.m. on Saturdays at Haleiwa Bay.Call 372-9304.

* OUTREACH Pacific Islands Bible Church hosts a free weekly event at 6 p.m. Saturday to strengthen the community and reach other to young adults and families via coffee, live music and getting acquainted.Call 625-0411.

* ARMY OUTREACH The Oahu Army Natural Resource Program welcome volunteers for its service trips and environmental outreach projects. Call Kim or Candace at 656-7641.

* ART WALK The monthly Haleiwa Art Walk runs from 6 to 9 p.m. on the last Saturday of each month in Haleiwa town, featuring sales and activities hosted by dozens of merchants. Call 637-4558.

* HULA Kumu hula Ali’i Manu conducts non-competitive hula classes (auana, kahiko and the aloha spirit) for the community at 7 p.m. Tuesdays at Mililani Uka Elementary School. Men and women ages 15 and up are welcome. Call 478-2400.

* MEETING DOGS Hawaii Dog Foundation hosts a “meet and greet"session with its adoptable dogs from noon to 2 p.m. on the second and fourth Saturday of the month at Mililani Mauka Dog Park, 95-1069 Ukuwai St. Call 782-8387

* CITY MARKETS The People’s Open Market sells produce on Tuesdays from 10 to 11 a.m. at Wahiawa District Park and from 11:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Mililani District Park. Call 522-7088.
