The Leilehua Band Booster Association is counting on a little friendly pretend gambling to help fill the coffers of the high school’s award-winning band program, so it’s planned an unforgettable night of fun from 6 to 10 p.m. Saturday in the cafeteria.

The fifth annual Casino Night will have food, music, a silent auction and a just-like-Vegas casino. Admission is $25 in advance or $30 at the door but young children should stay home. Tickets include dinner, $200 in play money and door prizes.

“It’s one of our biggest fundraising events that we hold every year,” said member Merle Misajon. “As a parent and alumna of the booster club, it’s been a great honor and privilege to help every year with this event not to mention the fun and enjoyable time to meet friends and spend time with the band and family members.”

Proceeds will help the band purchase uniforms and equipment, as well as maintain and repair instruments. Donations also can be mailed to the nonprofit association at P.O. Box 861227, Wahiawa HI 96786.

For tickets and more information, call president Vernon Tanaka at 224-4080 or 754-7871.
