A Citizenship Fair, set for 9 a.m. to noon Aug. 19 at the FilCom Center, will offer free legal assistance, health and wellness activities, and social service information.

Volunteer attorneys will be available to help with naturalization documents at the event, but pre-registration is required and limited to the first 30 qualified applicants. For an appointment, call Volunteer Services Hawaii at 522-0678 no later than Aug. 11.

The Waipahu fair is hosted by U.S. Rep. Neil Abercrombie in conjunction with Volunteer Legal Services Hawaii and Na Loio Immigrant Rights and Public Interest Legal Center.

Na Loio, which means “lawyers,” is a nonprofit legal service for primarily low-income,limited-English speaking immigrants. The group is working to provide free legal services, community education and advocacy for Hawaii’s many immigrants.
