Families Set Sail For Daylong PCC Party

Polynesian Cultural Center marks its newest attraction, the Halau Wa’a O Iosepa, with a Family Day this Saturday.

Kamaaina will be admitted free after 3 p.m. to enjoy the cultural presentation at the canoe halau at 4, a hula performance at 5 and a concert featuring Willie K at 6.

Halau Wa’a O Iosepa is the new home for the center’s 57-foot, all-wood, double-hulled Hawaiian voyaging canoe. Visitors will be introduced to voyaging through activities, educational displays, exhibits and a program on the Polynesian migration story.Visitors may also take a guided walking tour and watch a short video about the Iosepa.
