Helemano Plantation plans a dinner dance Dec. 12 at Hilton Hawaiian Village to benefit its programs for the elderly and developmental challenged adults in Wahiawa.

The gala, “Tomorrow Begins Today,” runs from 5 to 11 p.m. in the Coral Ballroom, featuring a sumptuous meal, dancing, entertainment by ORI clients and a silent auction. Philanthropist and community volunteer Dr. Lawrence Tseu will receive Helemano’s Humanitarian Award.

“When our organization was founded nearly 30 years ago, we had a dream to provide a caring home and a safe place to work and grow for those with disabilities,” said CEO and founder Susanna Cheung, “and we could not have done it without the kokua of our supporters.”

Tickets cost $125, and table sponsorships are available. For reservations or to donate items for the auction, call Yvonne de Luna at 622-3929.
