Residents and former students of Central Oahu schools continue to join the military service and achieve success in training and combat duties. Below are Wahiawa and North Shore residents who have completed Army or Air Force training in the past year.

CADET TRAINING
Army ROTC - Mabel-Lynne Priddy (Leilehua 2009) has graduated from leadership training at Fort Knox, Ky. while studying at New Mexico Military Institute; Josiah De Costa (Leilehua 2007), Steffan Shade (Leilehua 2006) and Alisha Bassim (Leilehua 2002, Oregon State 2006) have graduated from leadership training at Fort Lewis, Wash. De Costa studies at New Mexico Military Institute, Shade studies at University of Pittsburgh at Bradford.
ADVANCED TRAINING Air Force - Matthew Omalza (Leilehua 2001, LCC 2003) graduated in January from Air Traffic Control Operations Apprentice Course at Keesler AFB, Miss. He is assigned to the 23rd Operations Support Squadron at Moody AFB, Ga.
