Del.icio.usAs thousands brave the Honolulu Marathon on Dec. 13, Mililani will have its very first 5K Reindeer Fun Run.
Beginning at 7:30 a.m. that morning at Mililani District Park, the 3.1-mile race will wind through the community and finish at Mililani YMCA. Co-sponsors are the Y and Mililani Town Association.
Registration is $15 for ages 10 and under, and $25 for all others. Those bringing a new, unwrapped toy for Toys for Tots will receive a $5 discount on the entry fee.Sign up before Nov.23 and you’ll receive a free T-shirt. Deadline is Dec. 11.
Forms are available at the Y, at the MTA recreation centers and online at http://www.mililanitown.org or http://www.ymcahonolulu.org. For more information, call Jenny at 625-1040 or Kim at 440-2614.
Awards will be given out to the top three male and female finishers, as well as for each age group. A holiday craft fair is planned from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. following the race, which is limited to 500 participants.
