If you need extra income, have a fine-tuned skill and are considering starting your own business, the Wahiawa Community-Based Development Organization has training classes that should fit the bill.

Micro-business training for low- to moderate-income individuals begins next month for those who want to make and sell products and provide a service to the community. Classes are scheduled for Jan. 9, 16, 23, 30 and Feb. 6 in Calvary Chapel’s Wahiawa office at 532 California Ave. Class size is limited, so early registration is encouraged.

Topics include crafts, furniture making, food services , yard maintenance, and running a child/adult day care or a cleaning service.
