If you’re not among the millions who already know it, Haleiwa sparkplug Jalee Fuselier won $20,000 (for her HPU master’s degree) and second runner-up honors at the 2011 Miss America pageant Jan. 15 in Las Vegas. The audience learned a little bit about our Miss Hawaii’s volunteer work here and abroad, her special bond with her sister who has cerebral palsy, and the fact that she’s eaten termites in Africa.
