Below are highlights of what’s happening in the East Oahu community in the next few weeks.

* PSAT REVIEW Raymond Karelitz of Test Success Hawaii conducts a free PSAT review worship Feb. 6 at Sacred Hearts Academy for all students who have received their test scores. For details, call 923-8378.

* DRUM FITNESS Salome Sato leads a free class in “drums alive,” a holistic fitness and rhythm program, at 10:45 a.m. Feb. 6 at Kaimuki-Waialae YMCA. Call 737-5544.

* MENTAL HEALTH State mental health planners meet with residents from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Feb. 6 at Kalani High School cafeteria to assess East Oahu’s need for services. Call 586-4442.

* NEIGHBORS Area neighborhood boards meeting at 7 p.m. this month include: Kuliouou-Kalani Iki on Feb. 7 at Aina Haina Library; Palolo Feb. 13 at Palolo Elementary School cafeteria; Diamond Head-Kapahulu-St. Louis Heights Feb. 14 at Ala Wai Clubhouse; Kaimuki Feb. 20 at Liliuokalani Elementary School cafeteria; Waialae-Kahala Feb. 21 at Wesley United Methodist Church; and Hawaii Kai Feb. 26 at Hahaione Elementary School cafeteria. * LIHOLIHO FAIR Liholiho Elementary School has its Family Fun Fair from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 9 at 3430 Maunaloa Ave., with rides, bouncers, a petting zoo, pony rides, arts, crafts and more. Extra parking is at KCC. Call 733-4850.

* KOKO HEAD CLUB Koko Head Seniors Club plans a trip to Haleiwa Feb. 9, and they’ll be entertained by the Singing Seniors (karaoke champions) at 10 a.m. Feb. 20 at Kuapa Isle Clubhouse. Call Casey at 395-3096.

* CHINESE NEW YEAR Market City celebrates the Year of the Rat with Chinese New Year’s festivities from 10 a.m. Feb. 9. Call 734-0282.

* BOOK SALE The Friends of Kaimuki Library have a book sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Feb. 16 in the downstairs parking lot. The “Big Bookapalooza Sale"has rare books, CDs, videos, DVDs and books on tape, along with regular bargains. Proceeds benefit the library’s audio and visual collection. Call 733-8422.

* HOLIDAY CLOSURES Most public libraries are closed Feb. 16-18, Presidents Day weekend.

* CAREGIVER CLASS Kapiolani Community College’s Kupuna Education offers a Family Caregiver Skills course from 9 to 11 a.m. Feb. 28, and March 1 and 8 covering personal care and transfer techniques. Preregistration is required, and class size is limited. Call 734-9211.
