Below are highlights of what’s happening in the East Oahu community in the next few weeks.

* NEPAL The Koko Head Seniors meet at 10 a.m. March 5 at Kuapa Isle Clubhouse when guest speaker Norma Kehrberg shares her experiences of living in Nepal. The group also plans to see the Air National Museum March 12 and have a potluck March 19. All area seniors are welcome. Call 395-3096.

* HANAUMA Hanauma Bay Education Center has free lectures and films at 6:30 p.m. each Thursday in March at the park theater, featuring the Hawaii Institute of Marine Biology and the Northwestern Hawaiian Islands Research Partnership. Call 397-5840.

* NEIGHBORS Area neighborhood boards meeting at 7 p.m. this month include: Kuliouou-Kalani Iki on March 6 at Aina Haina Library; Palolo March 12 in the Palolo Elementary School cafeteria; Diamond Head-Kapahulu-St. Louis Heights March 13 at the Ala Wai Clubhouse; Kaimuki March 19 in the Liliuokalani Elementary School cafeteria; Waialae-Kahala March 20 at Wesley United Methodist Church; and Hawaii Kai March 25 in the Hahaione Elementary School cafeteria. * KEIKI ART CLASS My First Art Class offers a free trial class at 9:30 a.m. (ages 18 months to 3 years) and 10:45 a.m. (ages 2 to 5 years) on March 8 at Holy Nativity Church, followed by an eight-week program. Tuesday classes also are scheduled. Call Renee at 261-6169.

* BLOOD DRIVES The Hawaii Blood Bank conducts donor drives from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. March 9 at Hawaii Kai Towne Center; from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 21 at the Kahala Hotel; and from 7 to 11 a.m. March 23 at Kahala Mall. Call 845-9966.

* NEWCOMERS Honolulu Newcomers Club hosts a Welcome Aloha Coffee at 10 a.m. March 13 and a luncheon at 11:30 a.m. March 20. Call 591-7600.

* HAPA Barry Flanagan and Nathan Aweau (Hapa) play from 6 to 8 p.m. March 14 at The Kahala resort’s Veranda. Cover is $25. For reservations, call 739-8780.

* ART AT ROY’S Contemporary watercolor and mixed-media prints by Marion Yee Larson are on view at Roy’s Restaurant in Hawaii Kai through March 14. Call 396-7697.
