* FIRST AID American Red Cross offers a class in First Aid Basics at 6 p.m. Sept. 3 at 4155 Diamond Head Road. Volunteer orientations also are set for 6 to 9 p.m. Sept. 25 and Oct. 14. Call 739-8113.
* CHOIR TRYOUTS Kaleoaloha Keiki Choir auditions boys and girls age 6 to 16 for its new group from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Sept. 4 at Koko Head District Park. The singers will practice from 4:30 to 6 p.m. each Tuesday and Thursday at the park. Call 395-5730.

* DREAM DINNERS The new owners of Dream Dinners have a grand reopening and open house from 2 to 4 p.m. Sept. 6 in Niu Valley Shopping Center to reintroduce busy families to their meal preparation service. Call 291-4074.
* BELLY DANCE Shadiya offers a 10-week series of belly dancing classes at 7 p.m. (beginners) and 8 p.m. (advanced) Tuesdays starting Sept. 9 at Kaimuki Community Park. Call 733-7351.

* STORYTIME Hawaii Kai Library kicks off its fall pre-school storytime at 10:30 a.m. Sept. 10. The sessions meet Wednesdays through Dec. 10. Call 397-5833.
* LIBRARY CONCERTS Kauai slack key artist Cindy Combs presents free concerts at 3 p.m. Sept. 14 at Kaimuki Library, 6:30 p.m Sept. 16 at Aina Haina Library, and 3 p.m. Sept. 20 at Hawaii Kai Library. She also will discuss George Kanahele and the Hawaiian Renaissance. Call 737-5424.
