* NEIGHBORS The Kaimuki Neighborhood Board meets at 7 p.m. Dec. 17 in the Liliuokalani Elementary School cafeteria. Call 768-3710.

* KEIKI CHOIR The Kaleoaloha Keiki Choir sings at 7 p.m. Dec. 17 at Kahala Mall and at 8:45 and 10:30 a.m. services Dec. 21 at Hawaii Kai Church. Call 779-1397.

* HEIGHT HEARING The city Department of Planning and Permitting hears a request Dec. 18 from Saint Louis School to allow a building to “exceed the height limit and increase nonconformity.” The hearing is at 1:30 p.m. in the City Council Committee Meeting Room, Honolulu Hale. Call 768-8022.

* BOAT PARADE The Hawaii Kai Marina Association’s 12th annual Festival of Lights boat parade begins at 5:30 p.m. Dec. 20 on the marina by Hawaii Kai Towne Center. Call 396-2469.

* EVE SERVICE Five area churches join together for a Christmas Eve candlelight service with singing at 5:30 p.m. Dec. 24 at Koko Head Elementary School, and the service at 6. Participating are Harbor Church, Hope Chapel Hawaii Kai, Grace Community Church, Hawaii Kai Community Church and Hawaii Kai United Church of Christ. Call 447-9269.

* BLOOD DRIVES Hawaii Blood Bank conducts donor drives from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Dec. 28 at Hawaii Kai Towne Center; and from 7 to 11 a.m. Dec. 31 at Kahala Mall near Macy’s men’s department. Call 845-9966.

* CRATER HIKE Hawaiian Trail & Mountain Club leads a 3-mile intermediate hike to Koko Crater at 8 a.m. Jan. 1, meeting at the Blowhole parking lot. Go to www.htmclub.org.

* NEIGHBORS Neighborhood boards meeting at 7 p.m. this month include Diamond Head-Kapahulu-St. Louis Heights Jan. 8 at Ala Wai Clubhouse; Waialae-Kahala Jan. 15 at Wesley United Methodist Church; Kaimuki Jan. 21 at Liliuokalani Elementary School; Hawaii Kai Jan. 27 at Hahaione Elementary School.
