* SHANGRI-LA PLAN The city Department of Planning and Permitting conducts a hearing at 10:30 a.m. Nov. 17 at 3840 Paki Ave. on a request from the Doris Duke Foundation for Islamic Art to allow demolition of a maintenance building and construction of a two-story maintenance building at the Black Point estate.
