Farmers May Apply For Grants

East Oahu farmers have until April 5 to submit a pre-proposal request to the Oahu Resource Conservation and Development Council for grants of up to $50,000.

Projects must “strengthen and promote Oahu’s agricultural businesses and increase the capabilities of local farmers, ranchers and agricultural entrepreneurs.”

Projects funded in the past include fish tank installation, land preparation, irrigation upgrades, processing equipment and greenhouse purchase and installation.
