A four-session ocean-awareness training course is set for Oct. 26-Nov. 9 in East Oahu for those who work or volunteer in marine education and conservation.
The National Marine Sanctuaries office at Hawaii Kai Corporate Plaza will host the first three classes in its third-floor conference room (above Roy’s Restaurant). The final class is at Waikiki Aquarium.
Fee is $20 and is due Oct. 15. The course covers multi-disciplinary topics and includes a three-hour field project to earn certification in C.O.R.A.L. (Care of our Culture, Oceans, Reefs and Animal Life).
