Kalani High 1997 graduate Nicole Knudsen, now a University of San Francisco law student, is spending the summer in Dharamsala, northern India, on an internship with the Tibetan Center for Human Rights and Democracy. Another Kalani alumnus, Robert Gregory Browne, is in town promoting his book with a less-peaceful theme: Kill Her Again from St. Martin’s Paperbacks. Critics are calling it “a taut psychological thriller” about a disgraced FBI agent who seeks redemption. Robert’s first novel was Kiss Her Goodbye ... Pastor Andy Kikuta and his Hawaii Kai Community Church flock (395-0272) are excited to be in new digs, after 20 years at Koko Head Elementary. Their “semi-permanent home” is now the second floor of the AKAL building at 6650 Hawaii Drive, next to a pizza parlor and above a preschool.
