An all-star lineup of entertainers is ready to rock the stage for the Pearl City Night of Stars March 14 in the Pearl City Cultural Center auditorium.
Performing live will be PCHS alumnus Sean Na’auao along with fellow Na Hoku Hanohano Award-winner Natalie Ai Kamauu. Also taking the stage will be Hypersquad Dance Co., juggler Greg Gabaylo and jazz artist Mark Silva. PCHS student talent show winners Chelsea Baker, the all-female Semi-Sweet Band (Rachel Look, Alexia Ongie, Taylor Hayamoto and Kara Ogawa) and hula dancers Shannon Takai and Rovelyn Hermosa will give the audience a sneak-peak at their Brown Bags 2 Stardom routines.
“Most of these people are alumni - Sean Na’auao and Natalie Ai Kamauu, they’re pretty well-known (as contemporary Hawaiian performers). We’ll try to make it well put together and flowing well,” vowed Karen Yim, PCHS 2009 Project Grad chairwoman.
The evening also features a silent auction, during which guests may bid on a variety of items, including restaurant gift certificates.
The auction begins at 6:30 p.m., and concert showtime is 7. Tickets cost $10 and are available at the school office. For more information, e-mail .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) or call 453-6500.
All proceeds benefit the Pearl City PTSA and Project Grad.
The Pearl City Cultural Center is located at 2100 Hokiekie St., just past the high school on Waimano Home Road.
