* BLOOD DRIVE Hawaii Blood Bank conducts a donor drive from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Aug. 31 at Calvary Chapel West Oahu, 91-928 Ft. Weaver Road. Call 845-9966.
* CANSTRUCTION Following the public vote for its favorite design, the Canstruction displays in Pearlridge Center Uptown will be “de-canstructed” Sept. 7 and the food delivered to Hawaii Foodbank. Call 488-0981.

* NEIGHBORS Pearl City Neighborhood Board meets at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 26 in the Highlands Intermediate School cafeteria; the Makakilo-Kapolei-Honokai Hale board meets at 7 p.m. Aug. 27 in the Kapolei High School cafeteria; and the Waipahu board meets at 7 p.m. Aug. 28 at the FilCom Center. * MILITARY GOLF Ko Olina Golf Club observes Patriot Golf Day Aug. 30 as a fundraiser for Folds of Honor, plus numerous promotions and activities for active duty military golfers. Call 676-5300.
* BANK SUPPORT Central Pacific Bank branches statewide collect funds for Hawaii Olympians and their families through Aug. 31 to help offset costs of training and travel. * HOLIDAY CLOSURES Public schools and libraries are closed Aug. 30 and Sept. 1 in observance of Labor Day.
* COMEDY ACTS Augie T. and guest comedians Jose Dynamite, Timmy Mattos and MC Gerard Elmore put on a Wild Wild West Comedy Show at 8 p.m. Aug. 31 at Makaha Resort.
