* SCHOOL CLOSURES All public schools and libraries are closed Nov. 4 for the General Election and Nov. 11 for Veterans Day.

* ARBOR DAY The UH Urban Garden Center gives out free trees from 7 a.m. to noon Nov. 8 while supplies last in observation of Arbor Day. * LIBRARY PLAY Kapolei Library has play mornings at 10 a.m. Thursdays for keiki ages 2 to 5. Also at the library are toddler storytimes at 10 a.m. Monday-Thursday, and Saturday Storytimes for keiki 3 and older are at 10 a.m. Call 693-7050.

* FASHION CLASSES Polyphabric Design Studio hosts sewing, construction, pattern-making and design classes for all skill levels from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday at their Kapolei location.
