Below are highlights of what’s coming up in West Oahu.

* BAND FEST The Aiea, Kapolei and Pearl City high school bands perform in the UH Rainbow Invitational Marching Band Festival at 5:30 p.m. Nov. 10 at Aloha Stadium. Admission is $7 and $5. Call 956-7657.

* NEIGHBORS The Aiea Neighborhood Board meets at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 10 at Aiea Library; the Ewa board meets at 7 p.m. Nov. 13 at Ewa Beach Library; and the Waipahu board meets at 7 p.m. Nov. 20 at the FilCom Center. Call 768-3710.

* LIBRARY PROGRAMS The Kapolei Library hosts four free programs throughout November, including: Searching for Health Information Online for seniors at 8:30 a.m. Nov. 10, 17 and 24 (registration required); a live performance by Salaam Ensemble at 11 a.m. Nov. 15; a Christmas Crafts Ideas Demonstration at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 18; and a Women & Investing Informational Seminar for adults at 10:30 a.m.Nov.22 (registration required). * SCHOOL, LIBRARY CLOSURES All public schools and libraries are closed Nov. 11 for Veterans Day.

* BLOOD DRIVES Hawaii Blood Bank conducts donor drives 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 12 at Leeward Community College, from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 16 at Waikele Center by Leonard’s Malasadas, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 22 at St. Joseph Church and School in Waipahu,and from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 23 at Foodland in the Ewa Town Center. * CHRISTMAS IDEAS Volunteers with Family and Community Education conduct a free Christmas ideas demonstration at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 12 at Waipahu Library, 6:30 p.m. Nov. 18 at Kapolei Library and 6:30 p.m. Nov. 24 at Ewa Beach Library. Call 247-0421, ext. 106.

* QUILT PROJECT The Home of the Brave Quilt Project returns to the Pacific Aviation Museum from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 12. Admission is $14 adults, $7 children; kama’aina and military are $10 and $5,free for museum members and military in uniform. Call 441-1000.

* STUDENT ART The 15th annual Leeward Young Artist Awards Exhibit is on view from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Nov. 12-13 at Kapolei Hale Courtyard. Call 262-8556.

* FOOD DRIVES Kunia Shopping Center hosts a drive for the Hawaii Foodbank from noon to 3 p.m. Nov. 15 and 22 in front of Auntie Pasto’s.Donors get a sheet of coupons from merchants.

* MARSH CLEANUP Hawaii Nature Center volunteers help restore Pouhala Marsh in Waipahu from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Nov. 15. Call Pauline at 955-0100, ext. 18.

* CRAFT FAIR A Season’s Best Craft Fair runs from 9 a.m. to 2:55 p.m. Nov. 15 at Aiea Elementary School. Call 683-6064.

* HOLIDAY WORKSHOP The Board of Water Supply and the Friends of Halawa Xeriscape Garden host a hands-on Tillandsia Holiday Craft workshop at 10 a.m. Nov. 15 at the Halawa Valley garden. Registration is $15, includes plants and supplies, and is due by Nov. 13. Call 748-5363.

* FALL AUCTION Iroquois Point Cooperative Preschool hosts its annual Fall Auction at 5 p.m. Nov. 15 at the Ewa Beach center, 6053 Heron Ave. Planned are food, door prizes and silent and live auctions,which offer gift certificates, merchant donations, spa baskets, homemade items and more. * HANGAR DANCE The Pacific Aviation Museum celebrates its second anniversary with a fundraiser “Big Band” dance featuring the 18-piece Monday Night Orchestra, comedian Bill Sage, a live auction, awards ceremony and unveiling of the new Lt. Ted Shealy Restoration Shop at 5:30 p.m. Dec. 6 in Hangar 37 on Ford Island.
