* CHRISTMAS IDEAS Volunteers with Family and Community Education conduct a free Christmas Ideas Demonstration at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 24 at Ewa Beach Library. Call 247-0421, ext. 106.

* ONLINE HEALTH Searching for Health Information Online is a free program for seniors set for 8:30 a.m. Nov. 24 at Kapolei Library. Registration is required at 693-7050.

* ELDER TRANSIT The city Human Services Department sponsors a town hall meeting from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Nov. 25 at Pearl Country Club to identify transportation needs for older adults, people with disabilities and low-income residents. Call 768-8380.

* NEIGHBORS Pearl City Neighborhood Board meets at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 25 at Highlands Intermediate School cafeteria; and Makakilo-Kapolei-Honokai Hale board has rescheduled its meeting to 7 p.m. Dec. 3 in the Kapolei High School cafeteria. Call 768-3710.

* BASEBALL REGISTRATION Ewa Little League Baseball welcomes children ages 5-12 to sign up for its 2009 season from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 29-30 and Dec. 13-14 at Ewa Shopping Center. Three proofs of residence, shot record and original/state-certified copy of child’s birth certificate are required at registration, even if child previously played in league. * MILITARY SALUTE Pearl City Sam’s Club welcomes military families (active and retired) to a free holiday photo session during regular business hours Dec. 1 and 15. Participants also receive 30 complimentary 4x8 greeting cards ($10.50 value). Call 456-7788.

.* HOLIDAY MENU Off The Wall Restaurant & Bar serves a Tempura and Sushi Holiday Buffet of assorted cold and hot items, plus desserts, from 5-9 p.m. every Tuesday and Wednesday beginning Dec. 2 (except during Live Okinawan Music Nights). * HOLIDAY PROGRAMS Ewa Beach Librarian Zhan Hunt reads to children ages 3 and up during a special Christmas Storytime at 10:30 a.m. Dec. 3. Other free events include Holiday Doodles with Allen Tsukamoto at 11 a.m. Dec. 3; Crochet Your Own Stocking with Gloria Arias at 2 p.m. Dec. 3 (yarn and crochet needles provided; limit 10 participants); and a screening of The Muppets Christmas Carol at 2:30 p.m. Dec. 4. * HANGAR DANCE Pacific Aviation Museum Pearl Harbor celebrates its second anniversary with a “Big Band” benefit dance featuring the 18-piece Monday Night Orchestra, comedian Bill Sage, a live auction, awards ceremony and the unveiling of the new Lt. Ted Shealy Restoration Shop from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. Dec. 6 in Hangar 37 on Ford Island. * FASHION CLASSESPolyphabric Design Studio has sewing, construction, pattern-making and design classes for all skill levels from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday in Kapolei.
