* BLOOD DRIVES Hawaii Blood Bank conducts donor drives from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. March 3 in the Waipahu High School chorus room and 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 7 at Pearlridge Uptown (near Tilt). Call 845-9966.
* AIDS BENEFIT Eat out at Hapa Grill in Kapolei on March 4 and help the Life Foundation fight HIV/AIDS. The restaurant will donate 20 percent of its receipts that day to the foundation in its Oahu Dines campaign. Call 674-8400.
* WAIKELE GOLF TOUR-NEY The Samoan Gospel Heralds present their On the Green golf tournament March 4 at Waikele Golf Club. Entry fee is $150 per golfer or $450 for a threesome. Call 342-8370.
* MONEY TALKS Bank of Hawaii conducts free Smart Money seminars at 5:30 p.m. March 4 at its Waikele branch and 11 a.m. March 14 at its Pearlridge branch, offering “sound advice on financial management skills.” Call 1-888-643-3888.
* LIBRARY PROGRAMS Ewa Beach Library hosts free programs this month, including Beginning Crochet with Ms. Gloria at 2:30 p.m. March 4, Social Security and You with Social Security public affairs specialist Jane Yamamoto-Burigsay at 10:30 a.m. March 5, and a Consumer Education Fair at 10:30 a.m. March 19. * SKETCH COMEDY On the Spot founder Garrick Paikai leads a four-week introductory course on sketch comedy writing ($125) at 7 p.m. March 5-26 and improv techniques ($50) at 7 p.m. March 6-27 at the Rosalie Woodson Dance Academy, 99-153 Moanalua Road in Aiea. * SCIENCE OLYMPIAD Leeward Community College hosts the Hawaii State Science Olympiad beginning at 8:30 a.m. March 7 as middle and high school teams vie for awards.
