* DANCE REGISTRATION The Beta Chapter of the Hawaii Ballroom Dance Association accepts registration for its second quarter session at 7 p.m. July 6 and 13 at the Manana Elementary School Cafeteria in Pearl City. * STORIES, CLOWNS Waipahu Library presents the Aloha Clowns Magical Bubble Show at 10:30 a.m. July 7 for all ages, and Discover Toys presents “Playtime with Education Toys” at 10:30 a.m. July 14. AUTHOR Author and illustrator Neil Numberman shares his adventures in the publishing world at 10:30 a.m. July 10 at Kapolei Library. His work has appeared in Nickelodeon magazine and The New York Times, and he’s currently working on two graphic novels for young readers. * ORCHID SHOW Ewa Orchid Society conducts its annual Orchid and Plant Show from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 10 and 11, and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 12 at Ewa Elementary School on Renton Road.

* DIGITAL PHOTOS Aiea Library hosts a free “Let’s Get Digital” photography workshop from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. July 11. Bring your old slides and photos. Call 483-7333.


* STORYTELLER Emmy Award-winning storyteller Bobby Norfolk performs Today’s Troubadour at 10:30 a.m. July 13 at Aiea Library (483-7333) and 10:30 a.m. July 25 at Kapolei Library (693-7050).

* TOUR DE TRASH The city’s Tour de Trash program visits Island Demo, Baseyard Hawaii Reuse Facility, Schnitzer Steel Hawaii, Grace Pacific and Hawaiian Earth Products Leeward from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 16 to showcase “Construction and Demolition.” Tour begins and ends at Kapolei Hale.Call 768-3200.
