* PEARL HARBOR The National Park Service and U.S. Navy host a joint memorial ceremony to commemorate the 68th anniversary of the Pearl Harbor attack at 7:40 a.m. Dec. 7 at Kilo Pier. The public is welcome, on a first-come, first-served basis and must board naval vessels at the USS Arizona Memorial visitor center between 6:20 and 7 a.m. Call 422-2771.

* BALLROOM DANCE The Pearlridge Chapter of the Hawaii Ballroom Dance Association registers students for its fourth quarter American Social classes in tango, mambo and waltz at 7 p.m. Dec. 8 and Jan. 12, 19 and 26 at the Waimalu Elementary School cafeteria (98-825 Moanalua Road). * EWA PARADE The Ewa Beach Lions Club and Ewa Beach Shopping Center sponsoraCommunity Christmas parade at 10 a.m. Dec. 12, beginning by at the Boys and Girls Clubhouse on Fort Weaver Road and ending at the shopping center. A concert and festivities start at noon. Call 864-4634.

* WAIPIO PARADE The Gentry Waipio Community Association has its Christmas Parade at 10 a.m. Dec. 12, starting on Ukee Street near Outback Steakhouse. Call 671-2272.

* WAIPAHU PARADE The Waipahu Christmas Parade goes from 3 to 5 p.m. Dec. 12, starting at Waipahu District Park to Waipahu Town Center, sponsored by Lighthouse Outreach Center Assembly of God. Call 225-4589.

* KO OLINA CRAFTS The Handcrafters and Artisans Alliance Artfest is open from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 12 fronting Paradise Cove Luau at Ko Olina with artwork, wood products and much more. Call 696-6717.

* SANTA SATURDAY Kapolei Shopping Center has its 17th annual Santa Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.Dec.12 with crafts,Santa and Rudolph, games and promotions. Free poinsettia plants go to the first 200 donors to Hawaii Foodbank. Call 262-8556.

* AIEA PARADE The Royal Hawaiian Band marches in the Aiea Community Association Christmas Parade starting at 8:30 a.m. Dec. 12 at Pearlridge Elementary School and ending at the sugar mill site. Call 429-1282.

* KAPOLEI LIGHTS The city’s Kapolei City Lights block party, including the West Electric Light Parade, food booths, Santa and free entertainment, begins at 5 p.m. Dec. 12, culminating in the tree lighting at Kapolei Hale at 8:30 p.m. Call 768-3888.

* BALLET Hawaii Ballet Theatre presents The Nutcracker Dec. 12-20 at Leeward Community College Theatre.Tickets cost $25-$16, and shows are at 2 and 7:30 p.m. Saturdays and 4 p.m. Sundays. Call 456-8100.
