Below are highlights of what’s coming up in West Oahu.

* LION DANCE Kunia Shopping Center marks the Lunar New Year at 10:30 a.m. Feb. 15 with a traditional lion dance by the Chinese Lion Dance Association starting at Kunia Chinese Restaurant (on level 2). Call 737-4676, ext. 24.

* BLOOD DRIVES Hawaii Blood Bank conducts donor drives from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. Feb. 15 at Tesoro Hawaii Refinery, from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Feb. 19 at HECO’s Waiau plant, from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Feb. 20 at Kapolei Shopping Center, from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Feb. 21 at Waikele Center, 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Feb. 23 at Ihilani at Ko Olina and 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Feb. 24 at Pearl City High School. * HANDBELLS Hakuoh Handbell Choir of Japan performs a free concert at 10 a.m. Feb. 18 in LCC Theatre. Call 455-0385.

* ROTH IRAs Financial adviser Paul Berardo presents “Roth IRAs: Retirement Can Be Less Taxing” at 10:30 a.m. Feb. 20 in the fiction section of Kapolei Library. Registration is suggested at 693-7050.


 

* WORM WORKSHOP Friends of Halawa Xeriscape Garden hosts a worm workshop from 10 a.m. to noon Feb. 20, preceded by a garden tour at 9:40 a.m., at 99-1268 Iwaena St. Fee for the workshop (worm harvesting, vermicomposting, mini-bin construction, manual) is $30 for non-members. Call 738-5041.
