Below are highlights of what’s coming up in West Oahu.
* HEAD START The state DOE conducts a Head Start Fair from 10 a.m. to noon March 16 at Pearlridge Center Uptown, along with a display by Kokua Ohana to recruit, train and support foster families. Call 488-0981.
* DANCE SIGNUPS The Pearlridge chapter of Hawaii Ballroom Dance Association registers students at 7 p.m. March 16, 23, 30 and April 6, 13 and 20 in Waimalu Elementary cafeteria for its first quarter American Social classes in bolero, West Coast swing and tango. * LIBRARY FURLOUGHS All public libraries are closed March 19 for staff furlough day and March 26 for Prince Kuhio Day. The Aiea branch also will close March 18.
