* GOLF UPGRADES The city Department of Planning and Permitting has a public hearing at 10:30 a.m. June 15 at Ted Makalena Golf Course on a special management area use permit required to make improvements to the course. Planned are path realignment, grading, landscaping, a detention pond, new fence and pedestrian bridge repairs. The golf course is located at 93-059 Waipio Point Access Road. Call 768-8027.

* BALLROOM DANCE The Pearlridge chapter of the Hawaii Ballroom Dance Association registers students for classes in nite club two-step, cha cha and bolero at 7 p.m. June 15, 22, 29 and July 6, 13 and 20 at Waimalu Elementary cafeteria. * COLLECTION DRIVE The Pearl City (98-138 Hila Place) and Kapolei (488 Kamokila Blvd.) locations of Hawaii Self Storage welcome donations for Ho’omalu O Na Kamali’i, a children’s receiving home on the Leeward Coast.
