Below are highlights of what’s coming up in West Oahu.

* NEIGHBORS Pearl City Neighborhood Board meets at 6:30 p.m July 27 at Waiau District Park; MakakiloKapolei-Honokai Hale meets at 7 p.m. July 28 at Kapolei High cafeteria.

* BLOOD DRIVES Hawaii Blood Bank has donor drives July 26 from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Home Depot Pearl City and 5:45 to 7 p.m. at Waikele Center. Call 845-9966.

* SENIOR SUMMIT Kaiser Permanente hosts a free Senior Summit lecture at 10 a.m. July 28 at its Waipio Clinic, 94-1480 Moaniani St. Topic is “Reverse Mortgages - Making An Educated Decision.” Call 432-2235.

* CARNIVAL The Armed Services YMCA has a military appreciation carnival from 6 p.m. to midnight July 30, noon to midnight July 31 and noon to 10 p.m. Aug. 1 at Central Oahu Regional Park. Call 473-3398.

* SPEARFISHING The West Side Roi Reckoning tournament begins at 7:30 a.m. July 31 at Kahe Park Pavilion, with fishing along the 5-mile stretch fronting Ko Olina Resort. Entry fee is $100; some proceeds from meals and raffle tickets goes to Big Brothers Big Sisters. Entry forms are at West Side Dive & Tackle at Kapolei Marketplace. * CANINE HELP Hawaii Canine Assistance Network has a “Garage and Goodies” sale from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 31 at 94-1050 Meahale Place in Waipahu. Proceeds support its mission to train service dogs and rehabilitate at-risk residents as they become trainers. Call 781-2596.

* NEWTOWN NIGHT Newtown Estates observes National Night Out from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Aug. 3 in Ipuala Place across from Nahele Park. The National Neighborhood Security Watch Initiative offers exhibits, refreshments, games, prizes and security tips. Call 486-2153.

* COLLECTION DRIVE Hawaii Self Storage at Pearl City (98-138 Hila Place) and Kapolei (488 Kamokila Blvd.) welcomes donations for Ho’omalu O Na Kamali’i, a children’s receiving home on the Leeward Coast. Needed are new clothing, blankets, towels, sports equipment, shoes, slippers, toys, school supplies, backpacks and arts and crafts. Call 521-9531, ext 224.

* CANCER SCREENINGS Hawaii Medical Center West conducts free mammograms and pap smears for women 40 and older from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday and Friday in Room 108 of the medical office building. Call 547-6820.

* FIT CLUB Fit Club Hawaii has adult exercise classes from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Mondays at Iroquois Point Elementary, Room P14. Fee is $1 per class. Call 561-3837.

* PARENT SUPPORT Leeward Community Children’s Council has free parent support meetings from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. every third Wednesday at Kapolei Police Station. All parents of children with special needs are welcome. Call 586-5363.
