Below are highlights of what’s coming up in West Oahu.
* FESTIVAL Leeward Community College presents its 14th annual International Festival this week. Remaining events are at 9 a.m. March 14, a cultural extravaganza on the library lanai with Moroccan musicians; and 10 a.m. March 16, a talk in Room GT-105 on nuclear issues in North Korea and Iran. * CLEANUP Hawaii Nature Center seeks volunteers to help clean up and restore Waipahu’s Pouhala Marsh from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. March 17. Call 955-0100, ext. 18. * SCHOOL’S OUT Hawaii public schools are on spring break for two weeks, from March 19 to 30.
* BOARDS The Aiea Neighborhood Board meets at 7:30 p.m. March 19 at Aiea Library; the Waipahu board meets at 7 p.m. March 22 at Hawaii’s Plantation Village. Call 527-5749.

* WAIPAHU LIBRARY Waipahu Library (94-275 Mokuola St.) host two free spring break programs for children. Doug Beter will introduce his “rainbow pigeons,” with a release and flight demonstration at 11 a.m. on March 20, and children will have a chance to meet a guide dog at 3 p.m. March 28. Call 675-0358.
