Below are highlights of what’s coming up in West Oahu.
* BOARD The Ewa Neighborhood Board meets at 7 p.m. April 12 at the Ewa Beach Library. Call 527-5749.
* AUTHOR Aiea Library hosts “Meet the Author: Ronald Oba” at 9 a.m. April 12. Oba, a veteran of the 442nd regiment in World War II, received numerous awards for his valor and wrote a collection of memoirs, The Men in Company F. The library is at 99-143 Moanalua Road. Call 483-7333.
* DRAMA LCC Lab Theatre presents Under Milk Wood at 8 p.m. April 12, 13 and 14. Tickets are $7. Call 455-0549.
* ROTARY Kapolei Rotary Club presents “Evening at Lanikuhonua” from 6 to 9:30 p.m April 13 at Ko Olina Resort. Tickets are $40, covering food, beer, wine and live entertainment by H2O. Call 674-2500.
* FOLK DANCE Grupo Folklorico Sabor de Mexico performs at 10:15 p.m. April 13 at Panama Hatties in Aiea. Call 485-8226.
* SUSTAINABILITY The Hawaii 2050 Sustainability Task Force takes public comment from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. April 14 in the Kapolei Elementary School cafeteria. Call 550-2661.
* TALK STORY State Sen. Mike Gabbard and Rep. Sharon Har host a “talk story” in the Royal Kunia Community Association Board Room (above the Kunia Times Super Market) at 9 a.m. April 14. Gabbard also meets with constituents at 9 a.m. April 28 at the Kapolei Starbucks (outside seating, near the Chevron Station). Call 586-6830.
* BLOOD The Hawaii Blood Bank conducts donor drives from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. April 15 at Waikele Center (next to Leonard’s Malassadas); 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 16 in the Aiea High School library; and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. April 18 at the Tony Group Autoplex. Call 845-9966.
