Below are highlights of what’s coming up in West Oahu.

* RABBITS/MUSIC Waipahu Library (94-275 Mokuola St.) has two programs this week: Live rabbits will be on display for children to see and pet from 1 to 7 p.m. June 13; and an interactive music program will introduce keiki age 3 and up to other cultures through song and musical instruments at 10:30 a.m. June 19. * ZONING Core Realty requests a zone change to IMZ-1(mixed use) in Waipio Gentry Business Park at a city Planning Commission hearing set for 1:30 p.m. June 13 in the Mission Memorial Auditorium.The company wants to develop a two-story commercial center with 44 parking stalls on a vacant lot zoned I-2. * BOARDS The Ewa Neighborhood Board meets at 7 p.m. June 14 in the Ewa Beach Library; the Aiea board meets at 7:30 p.m. June 19 at Aiea Library; the Pearl City board meets at 6:30 p.m. June 26 in the Highlands Intermediate School cafeteria. Call 527-5749.

* PHOTOS A photo showcase from Kapolei High School students continues through June 14 in the Kapolei Hale courtyard.

* ORCHIDS The Aiea Orchid Club hosts its annual orchid show and sale June 15-17 at Aiea Elementary School. Hours are 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. June 15, 9 to 6 June 16, and 9 to 3 June 17. Donation is $2.

* RUN/WALK The fourth annual Patriot Run/Walk starts at 8 a.m. June 16 at Iroquois Point Island Club. Proceeds benefit U.S. Vets-Hawaii. Call 682-6051.

* GREEN Moms Going Green conducts a free workshop on environmental products at 10 a.m. June 16 at Aiea Heights Park. Call Tara at 262-0440.

* HOMEBUYING/READING Kapolei Library (1020 Manawai St.) conducts a “First Time Homebuyers Seminar"at 10:30 a.m.June 16.The library also runs an adult summer reading program with prize drawings for folks 19 and older through July 14. Call 693-7050.

* FOOTBALL Kapolei Warrior Football Association conducts registration for players age 5 to 13 from 2 to 4 p.m. June 16 and 23 at Kapolei Shopping Center by Bank of Hawaii.

* ID CARDS State ID personnel process state identification cards from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 16 in the Waipahu High School cafeteria. Fee is $15, or $10 for ages 65 and older. Call 587-3111 or 587-3112.

* BALLROOM DANCING The Pearlridge chapter of the Hawaii Ballroom Dance Association registers dancers June 19 and 26, and July 3, 10 and 17 for classes in East Coast Swing, Peabody and Bolero at Waimalu Elementary School cafeteria (98-825 Moanalua Road).
