* ONSTAGE Pearlridge Center Uptown presents Hema Pa’a at 1 p.m. followed by Tali’ilagi Polynesian Production at 2:30 p.m. Jan. 6. Call 488-0981.

* HEALTH SCREENING Pali Momi conducts blood pressure and blood sugar testing from 7:45 to 9:30 a.m. Jan. 7 at Pearlridge Center Uptown. Call 488-0981.
* REFINERY HEARING The city Department of Planning and Permitting holds a public hearing at 10:30 a.m. Jan. 8 in Kapolei Hale on Chevron Hawaii’s request to build a security fence around its refinery. Call Lynne Kauer at 768-8016.
* SQUARE DANCING A five-week beginners class in square dancing starts at 7 p.m. Jan. 8 at Asing Park, 91-1450 Renton Road. New students must sign up by that date. Call 681-6435.
* BALLROOM DANCE The Pearlridge Chapter of the Hawaii Ballroom Dance Association registers students Jan. 8, 15 and 22 in Waimalu Elementary School cafeteria (98-825 Moanalua Road) for classes in tango, West Coast swing and rumba.
