ABC Market Open At Ko Olina

Island Country Markets, a new concept store by ABC Stores, has settled into its home at Honu Group’s new Ko Olina Station after officially opening last month at Ko Olina Resort and Marina.
“Island Country Markets is our new full-service fresh-market concept,” said ABC Stores Inc. president Paul Kosasa. “We have customized our approach to serve the Ko Olina resort community.”
Open from 6:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily, the market features a complete selection of high-quality foods, wines and other beverages, resort gifts and sundry items, as well as outstanding customer service and a one-ofa-kind shopping experience.
“It’s a totally different concept and format for ABC Stores, as it fits more of the rural country-store persona than what people are used to with ABC,” said Jackie Smythe, who is executive vice president for Honu Group Communications. “There is nothing else like it at Ko Olina.”
The store also is home to full-service Island Deli, which highlights fresh baked pastries, coffee and complete breakfasts to start off the day. It also sells an array of plate lunch specials, fresh sushi, honey-barbecued and fried chicken, toasted specialty sandwiches and a wide variety of island fruits and made-to-order salads.
“I think the visiting public as well as the surrounding community will be well-served by Island Country Markets both now and in the long-term,” Smythe said.
