Peter Cottontail visits Halawa Xeriscape Garden a little early this year for the third annual Decorate an Egg, the Xeriscape Way workshop and Easter egg hunt, set for 10 a.m. to noon April 3.
Keiki and families are invited to depart from the traditional dip-n-dye method and use their imagination, along with leaves, flowers and other natural treasures found in the garden, to decorate their Easter creations.
Sponsored by Honolulu Board of Water Supply and Friends of Halawa Xeriscape Garden, the activity is suitable to children ages 2 to 12. All keiki must be supervised by a responsible adult.
Cost to attend is $5 per family. Friends of Halawa Xeriscape Garden get in free.
Registration is required by March 31, or when the class is filled. For more information, call 748-5369 or visit www.boardofwatersupply.com.
