Festival Set To Light Up Kapolei

The lights of Christmas are beginning to shine brightly on the west side as the 10th annual West Oahu Holiday Festival kicks off the season this Saturday in Kapolei.
This holiday event is highlighted by many festive activities and sights for onlookers to enjoy, including a fireworks display at dusk and a Street Block Party starting at 5 p.m.
An Electric Light Parade begins at 6 p.m. at Kapolei Hale, where Santa and plenty of Christmas-themed marchers will stroll down Farrington Highway to Kealanani Avenue. They will then meet up with the block party on Uluohia Street, where there will be a variety of food booths, keiki games, a visit from Santa and entertainment by the Ewa Elementary School Choir and B.E.T. till 9:30 p.m.
Sponsors helping make this year’s festival happen include the City and County of Honolulu, Friends of Kapolei Hale, Hawaiian Electric Company, James Campbell Company LLC, American Renaissance Academy, Kalaeloa Partners LP, Ko Olina Resort and Marina, Aulani, DR Horton, First Hawaiian Bank and MidWeek.
