Festive music, Christmas decorations, twinkling lights and a boat tour are all happening this weekend for free at Pearl Harbor.

The Festival of Lights celebration is a half-hour tour that gives passengers a view of harbor ships and submarines decked in lights and holiday cheer.

A joint effort of the National Park Service, the U.S. Navy and the Pearl City Lions Club, the festival will runs from Friday through Sunday, and tickets will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis starting at 5:30 p.m. at the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center.

Rides depart every 10 minutes between 6:10 and 8:30.

Lions invite guests to join in the holiday spirit by bringing donations of canned foods that will be delivered to Hawaii Food Charities.

Visitors also are advised to bring sweaters and to leave all bags and purses in the car or at home. Small cameras and video cameras are welcome on the boat.

For more information, call Christine Schutte at 487-3327, ext. 21.
